Happy Father's Day!
Join us next Wednesday, June 19th for a Free Community Dinner with our neighbors, 6:15pm -7:30pm in the GMUMC Fellowship Hall. Please bring a dessert to share! What can you do? We need help with donations of the items necessary to make a terrific taco! We have a list of all the necessary ingredients, and you can sign up to provide, prepare, serve and/or clean-up for the event. Last month we saw several folks from our neighboring apartments, as well as folks from further down the road as well. We enjoyed great conversations and great food! Please contact the church office or Suzanne Barnes for more info or to volunteer!
Denver PrideFest Parade is Sunday morning, June 16th! If you'd like to walk with others from metro area UMC churches in the parade, please contact Steve Walden in the office, and help carry GMUMC's banner!

Memorial Day Weekend
United Methodist Women is the nation's largest network of women of faith. Click on the article link here to read their statement regarding the new wave of anti-abortion laws (as of this morning 30 states have laws or bills before the house), in which they oppose the efforts to limit women and families to make deeply personal reproductive decisions.
Please join us Wednesday, May 22nd at 6:30pm for a community dinner with our church neighbors! If you'd like to lend a hand with cooking today (Tuesday the 21st), be at the church at 2pm. You can help on Wednesday with set-up at 3pm, serving at 6:15pm or clean-up at 8:15pm. Please bring a dessert to share, and hope to see you there!
A team of Volunteers in Mission. Green Mountain United Methodist Church. from GMUMC recently worked at Beaver Creek Youth Camp in South Fork, helping to prepare it for summer campers. One of their projects included working on an altar they installed a few years ago, and adding a new plaque in memory of a loved member.

Please drop off your contribution during the week or this Sunday in the narthex...help us beat last year's count of 283 jars, which will be donated to The Action Center. To date we've collected almost 3,400 jars to honor this wonderful woman!

After two hours of debate over one small section of a very large document, we took a much needed break to move our bones!
The Wesley Bell Ringers started their tour with a performance at the mission dinner Saturday night. They stayed to support the MAD Band then began their 13 hour bus ride to South Dakota.
